Member OnlyThe purpose of pre-contracting is to speed up the contracting process. Your fieldman will gladly accept any information you can supply ahead of time. You do not have to fill in all of the information. Pre-contracting is broken into three parts: 1.Member Information 2.Shares Summary 3.Contract Summary Member InformationThis part allows you to check that your name and address are correct on the company records. Contact the local Ag Clerk if there need to be any changes to this information.
Shares SummaryThis part shows your shares status and the acres you may plant for the current year. The acres you may plant is determined by multiplying your shares by the factor for the year. You are required to plant 98-100% of the acres to plant for the year. The calculations are updated as you add pre-contracting contracts. Due to processing time, any recent changes in your shares may not yet be reflected in the numbers shown. Contract SummaryThis is where you may enter information on the acres you intend to plant for the year and how you want them listed on the contracts. To add a contract click on the button "Create a Contract". You may then enter the information by filling in the boxes. If this year's information is similar to a contract from the past two years, you may import the previous information by selecting the button "Get Info". This will speed up data entry. IMPORTANT: After the information is entered for the contract, you must click on the "Save" button to store the information in the database. If you do not click on the "Save" button, the information will not be stored. After you save a contract, you will be able to add the fields for the contract by using the "Add a Field" button. You must click on the "Save" button to stored the field information. If you intend to use pre-contracting for the current year you should notify your fieldman before you meet with him so that he can retrieve the information and have your contracts prepared and ready for you to sign. You may leave any information blank that you do not know and the fieldman will add it when you meet with him to sign the contract(s). |
