Celebrating Father’s Day with Fatherly Advice

Dads are known for giving good advice. This week, Amalgamated Sugar asked social media followers to share the best advice they had received from their dads or father figures. Here are some of the responses:

“Believe in yourself, and you can accomplish anything”
~ Josh F.

Probably the most important things I learned from my dad was above all family comes first. And anything you do in life you do it to the utmost best of your ability.
~ Cody H.

“Worry about the things you can control and give God the rest.”

“It’ll feel better when it stops hurting.”

“The best way to turn things around is to serve someone else.”

Forever grateful for an incredible Dad who continues to teach and encourage me.

~ Karli C.

“Sis God says with faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains. He never said it would move all at once, sometimes God knows you can’t handle moving it all at once. Even a shovel may be too much to handle, so he gives you a spoon to start.”

~ Mindy W.

“If you don’t LOVE your job – get a new job.”

~ Roxanne M.

“You might think you know, but you don’t know.”

~ Jessica A.

To always work hard towards my dreams.

~ Maira C.

Well he gave me three my late father;
1. To give importance to happiness not money.
2. Eat healthy & practise healthy activities.
3. Save in the early days of your career.

~ Rahul M.

“If you don’t have time to do it right the first time, when are going to find the time to do it again?”

~ Greg P.

My father always told me that going into a conversation to be humble… don’t act as if you know it all. People are more likely to help and support if you don’t act like the expert. He would say, “dumb is smart and smart is dumb.”

~ Daniel N.

My dad has always said that “life is too short to eat dessert last,” and to this day I live by these words religiously! 😉

~ Katie I.
