On August 23, 2023, Amalgamated Sugar Company reached a tentative agreement with the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union. The offer was unanimously recommended for approval by the union leadership. The members of the union are voting on the tentative agreement on August 28th and 29th.
