about our nampa factory

Established in 1942, the Nampa Factory plays a crucial role in supplying both industrial and consumer sugar markets for Amalgamated Sugar.

The Nampa Factory in Nampa, Idaho, processes approximately 12,000 tons of sugarbeets daily and granulates about 1,000 tons of sugar.

This facility distinguishes itself by producing a wider array of products, including animal feed like pulp and betaine, with the Nampa plant being the only one in the United States that crystallizes betaine.

The Nampa factory handles the packaging of specialty and consumer sugar products, such as powdered sugar, liquid sucrose, and various retail granulated sugar options.

Ships around 2 million pounds of sugar each day.

Recognized for its advancements in sustainability, including the recent installation of an anaerobic digester to treat wastewater.
