The Twin Falls Factory, Amalgamated Sugar’s oldest operating facility, underscores Amalgamated Sugar’s long-standing presence and commitment to the Magic Valley region.
The Twin Falls Factory was constructed in 1916
This facility distinguishes itself by producing a wider array of products, including animal feed like pulp and betaine, with the Nampa plant being the only one in the United States that crystallizes betaine.
In addition to sugar and molasses, the Twin Falls plant produces animal feed products, including pulp and liquid betaine.
A significant portion of its sugar production is in bulk form, catering to industrial customers through rail car, truck, and tote shipments.
The Twin Falls facility operates nearly year-round, with sugarbeet processing typically occurring from September to March, followed by a "juice run" to process stored concentrated sugar juice into crystals.
