Amalgamated Sugar Employees Rake Up Boise

On Saturday, November 9, Amalgamated Sugar corporate office employees and family members participated in Rake Up Boise. The group of more than 25 volunteers broke into two teams, raking up leaves and cleaning yards at two homes.

“It’s fun to give back to the Treasure Valley community, since it has supported Amalgamated Sugar for so long,” said Anna Rodriguez, who organized Amalgamated Sugar’s participation in the event. “We love to get involved in efforts that make a difference here in our own backyard.”

Rake Up Boise, which is a program of NeighborWorks Boise, assists elderly and disabled residents of Boise and Garden City by raking up leaves for over 600 homes annually.
